Phones, accessibility and polish
October 2026 (M5): every screen works at phone width, every control is easy to tap, and ride detail stays current.
Released September 29 to October 14, 2026.
HealthyRides made ready to carry patients: usable on a phone, accessible, and accurate while you watch.
- Works on a phone. No screen scrolls sideways at phone width, and wide tables become stacked cards you can still sort. (PR 246, PR 247, PR 254, PR 384)
- Easy to tap. Every button, link, field and close control is at least 44 by 44 pixels. (PR 235, PR 397, PR 406, PR 476)
- Screen readers see the ride list at every width. (PR 252)
- Clearer form fields. Input borders now stand out at the contrast accessibility guidelines ask for. (PR 480)
- The three-band layout: header, a tab strip with the active tab underlined, and the screen. (PR 253)
- Ride detail, side by side. Messages, bid history and the event journal sit in panels, the event journal shows the ride's real history including disputes and messages, and an open page refreshes as the crew moves the ride. (PR 462, PR 471, PR 476)
- The patient line on ride detail for the facility, and a provider's own bid history once it wins. (PR 476, PR 481)
- My rides gains Bid ETA and Live columns, and the winner can see its ride's running wait. (PR 476)
- Booking captures more of what the crew needs: an equipment checklist, weight-bearing, mobility, wheelchair, bariatric and comments to the crew. (PR 476, PR 477)
- Service radius. A provider sees rides within the radius set when it was onboarded. (PR 476)
- The dashboard flags every Unassigned ride, and the Available board no longer lists rides whose pickup has passed. (PR 476)
- Notification defaults per event, instead of every channel switched on. (PR 476, PR 479)
- The crew console shows the ride's requirements and what the 15- and 30-minute wait marks mean. (PR 476)
- No red buttons in the app. Red is kept for text and icons, so it never looks like an alarm. (PR 470)
