HealthyRides

Notification preferences

Choose which ride events notify you, by which channel, and when to hold them.

Notification preferences controls how you hear about rides, and shows what a notification is allowed to say. Open it from the user menu at the top right.

Walkthrough

  1. Open the user menu and select Notification preferences.
  2. In the table, find the Event you care about, which are Crew waiting 15 minutes on your unit, Ride went Unassigned and New message from a provider. The events listed are the ones that reach your role.
  3. Tick or untick the box for each channel, such as Email or SMS. A channel that cannot reach you says why.
  4. To hold notifications overnight, set Quiet hours. Choose From and Until and a Time zone, then select Save quiet hours.
  5. Read What we never send to see what a notification can and cannot carry.

What the fields mean

  • Quiet hours: notifications are held during the window and delivered when it ends. Urgent notifications are sent anyway, so a dispatch message is not held overnight. A window such as 22:00 to 06:00 runs overnight. Set both a start and an end, or clear both to turn quiet hours off.
  • What we never send: notifications leave the system, to an inbox or to a phone that may be unlocked. They never carry patient name, date of birth, diagnosis or medical notes, pickup or drop-off address, phone number or email address. They carry enough to know which ride, such as its reference, and nothing that identifies who is in it. Open the ride to see the rest.
  • Text messages: whether texts reach you also depends on your phone number and your opt-out state on My profile.

Common questions

I stopped getting texts.

Check My profile. If you replied STOP to the HealthyRides number, texts stay off until you text START (or UNSTOP) to that number. See the FAQ.

Can a Facility Admin set these for me?

No. Each person sets their own.

Why does the list of events differ between people?

Each role is notified about different events. Your list shows only the ones that reach your role.
