Patients
Find a patient record by name, date of birth or MRN.
Patients is a search, not a list. Nothing is shown until you type, so a screen left open never lists your patients. Each patient belongs to your organization alone and is never shared with another.
Walkthrough
- Type in Search a name, a date of birth such as 03/12/1974, or an MRN. Type at least two characters, then press Enter.
- To include patients you have deactivated, tick Include deactivated.
- Read the note under the search for how many results came back.
- Find the patient in the results. Each row shows Patient, Date of birth, MRN and Status.
- Select View patient with the short reference, such as "View patient · PT-4F7K". The patient record opens.
To add a new patient, use step 1 of Schedule Ride. This screen does not create patients.
What the fields and statuses mean
- Active: the patient can be booked on new rides.
- Deactivated: the patient no longer appears when you book. Rides already booked keep them.
- PT-4F7K: a short reference to the patient. The link uses it instead of a name or MRN, so a screen reader reading out the links does not read out patient details.
Common questions
Why is the list empty?
It stays empty until you search. Type at least two characters.
I searched and nothing matches.
Check the spelling, or search by date of birth or MRN. If the note says a deactivated patient matches, tick Include deactivated.
Can other facilities see my patients?
No. Patient records belong to your organization. Providers see only what a ride needs, and they do not see a patient's name before they win the work.
