Scheduling the right ride

October 2026 (M6): facility locations, a fuller booking form, SMS consent and texts, and roles that match the job.

Every change here removes a way to book the wrong thing.

• Book only where you work. Staff are assigned to the facility locations they work at, and can book only there. (PR 347, PR 349)
• Parent and child locations, such as a hospital and its campuses. (PR 348)
• Schedule Ride. Booking a transport is now called Schedule Ride. (PR 351)
• A fuller patient record: middle name and sex, search by date of birth, the home address offered as a pickup or destination, and corrections to a patient's details. (PR 352, PR 353, PR 357, PR 423)
• One-way or round trip, room number and acuity, all saved with the booking. (PR 355, PR 356)
• Equipment requirements, from a list your facility admin manages. (PR 358)
• Texts to patients. SMS consent belongs to the patient and never blocks a booking; texts go only to patients who agreed, and replying STOP turns them off. (PR 422, PR 425, PR 426)
• Roles that match the job. Scheduler, Facility Admin, Dispatcher, Provider Admin and Crew, with facility job titles such as discharge planner mapped onto Scheduler, and no role that both bids and picks. (PR 439, PR 441, PR 482)
• An audit log you can read, naming who acted and under which role. (PR 346, PR 433)
